The pressure cooker arrived in just a couple of days. It had a dent in the bottom of it when I went to use it the next day. I called Presto to see if it would a be ok to still use it. They said it would be ok but they wanted to replace it. I said I need it to do a lot of canning. So they told me to call them at the end of the canning season and they would send me a mailing label for me to send it back to them to be replacedCustomer Review: A great pressure canner

My mom used a pressure canner when I was young and it scared me to death with all the hissing. I followed the directions for prepping my canner and I've used it several times this season with great results. It's quiet and I have no fear it will blow up. I do stay close by to monitor the pressure but it didn't take long to get used to it. I love it and would buy another one again although I'm sure this one will be around (and used!) for a long long time. My next venture . . . canning venison in the next month or two. I love my Presto 23qt. aluminum pressure cooker/canner. I am glad I bought the 23qt. vs. the 16 qt. because I can boiling water bath qt. size jars with this pot. Rather than having to have two pots(one for boiling water bath & one for pressure canning.) This was the first time using the pressure canning & it was very easy with no complications. This canner is great and very practical. It is easy to use and holds a lot of jars. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it smells bad when I bottle things. I think it is because it is made out of aluminum. It fills the house with a bad smell so be sure to leave the windows open when you use it.
