I had 3 other brands of electric can openers that all were junk before I got one of these. After 5+ years of service it is still going strong and I want to purchase another for my daughter. Powerful enough to open #10 cans, nice touch of having a timer that the wife always uses, quiet, and cover rotates upward to conceal opener when not in use. Easy dis-assembly for cleaning. Performs as advertised.

This unique can opener is a great kitchen accessory. When it's not in use, the designer cover displays a handy clock/timer. To utilize the can opener, simply push the button and the slide-down cover instantly reveals the can opening mechanism. This unit opens cans cleanly, then turns itself off automatically. It also opens jars, twist-top bottles, and plastic bags. A handy sharpening unit is easily accessible on the side of the unit so kitchen knives can be sharpened quickly.
