Purchased one about one year ago.Works great,Had to buy Two for my kids for Christmas gifts.They indeed are nice for Buffalo wings and Crab cakes,or any other thing that has to be fried.E-Z to clean . I HAVE OWNED OTHER FRYERS AND NONE COMPARE WITH THIS ONE, ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE. ONE, THE RECOVERY OF HEAT IS RAPID. TWO, THE CONSISTANT TEMPERATURE FRIES EVENLY AND FAST. CHICKEN WINGS ARE THE BEST! Customer Review: Simply does what a deep fryer does

Received the fryer and after reading, before buying, I used a separate thermometer to assure the proper temperature was reached. I could not ask for more. Easy clean up and perfect frying....no problems encountered at this time!!! Recommend buying a funnel/strainer. Would be nice if it had a CD player!!!Customer Review: Great Fryer for the Price

I have had several fryers of different brands and this one is definitely the better of the lot. It does take approx 20 minutes to heat the oil but once that's done it maintains and recovers temp quickly. We have been missing wings for football season (can't find a place near that has good wings) and were very happy be able to make them the way we like - this fryer's size lets us continuously put HOT wings in front of our guests (& ourselves LOL). Also worked great for our first attempt at home-made onion rings. Large capacity and quick recovery were what we wanted and this unit EXCEEDED our expectations. Several people that have been over are "grease shy" yet commented the food was not greasy (which I find is a problem when temp drop happens - so recovery time is an issue this thing handled well).
Would I recommend it ? For the PRICE and CAPACITY coupled with temp recovery - YES.
