The fryer is exactly as pictured and works, but I didn't realize there was no temperature dial! So I used a thermometer and had to keep unplugging when the temp was not correct for my cooking. I absolutely love the GranPappy Fryer! It heats up in 15 minutes and you're ready to make delicious deep fried foods, like in restaurants. I got it a week ago and I have used it twice so far. I made sweet potato fries and zucchini and both came out excellent! Definitely consider this as a deep fryer, it's under $50 and can't be beat!Customer Review: GranPappy works great!

GranPappy is a great add to my kitchen; I'd been contemplating purchasing a more standard deep fryer, but finally decided to get this one. It works great, heats up quickly, it's easy to clean (!!!), as there are no additional parts to take out. You can't cover it with the lid it comes with (it's plastic), so you may want to cook outside (if possible), but it works great either way. I would recommend this item.
