I've never owned a waffle maker before, so I was a little afraid of the things. I read the good reviews that this had and gave it a shot. It works wonderfully! I really do love it. We enjoy the waffles and I'm beginning to experiment with different recipes too. I do agree that it usually takes a little less time than the directions might tell you, but that's no big deal. I just set the timer and they come out absolutely perfect! Love this iron.Customer Review: Waffles instead of pancakes

I got in a waffle making mood used a whole box of Aintya Momma pankcake mix and a pint of blue berries, first one was great. Not to dissappoint the rest were just as good. I just followed the instructions. 2 minutes each side . I did spray lightly with Pam before each waffle. None were burnt and clean up was easy .****UPDATE**** Still going strong and no complaints. Every waffle is as great as the first. We make waffles atleast once a week and not a single bad or burnt waffle following what I said above. One note children should always be supervized if allowed to use. Customer Review: Best waffle maker ever!

I've been making and eating waffles for decades, so have had a lot of waffle makers. My ex kept the latest one, so I needed a new one. Looked over the reviews and prices and decided on the Presto and I couldn't be happier. Waffles bake up thick, crispy brown on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Best waffles I ever ate. Nonstick works perfectly and I have no issues with the timer, or that the "on-off switch" is to plug and unplug the cord -- all my other waffle bakers "operated" the same way.
I find that 3 1/2 to 4 minutes produces the doneness I like, and multiple waffles all come out the same. Wait about 10-15 seconds after pouring in the batter, then flip it. Halfway through you can flip it again if you like, but it's not really necessary. Be advised that the Presto makes very large waffles; it takes 1 full cup of batter to fill it. I can be a real pig at the dinner table, but two of these waffles will really fill me up!
I also bought the Golden malted pancake/waffle mix from Amazon. With free shipping it's $2.69 per 1-pound can compared to $2.49 (+ sales tax) for a box of mix at the grocery. The extra 20c is well worth it; the Golden mix produces the tastiest waffles I've ever had. One can makes 6 big waffles.

I've used the "presto flipside belgian waffle maker" eight times this week after purchasing it from Amazon.
The waffles always turn out golden brown (wait for the steam to stop before opening, I never rely on the built in timer which always alarms a little too early) they're light and fluffy and taste delicious.
The only complaint I have is it should've been designed to clean easier.
Waffle mix tends to leak down the sides when its time to flip the waffle and it gets into the grooves and handle then inside the aluminum casing over the heating element - which was a pain to clean since the unit can not be washed in the sink.
I had to remove the screws and basically take the whole thing apart to get it really clean. I don't like leaving anything that might attract insects.
It makes delicious waffles but its a hassle to clean, so I think I'll look for something a little better next time.
